Meadowcreek Golf Course’s new Cavalier Pass is modernizing golf memberships by allowing golfers to choose when they pay and when they play. Under the new program, which debuted on April 1st, 2025, local golfers can purchase a Cavalier Pass for a $60 per month membership fee and then pay a discounted Player’s Fee every time they play – $30 per round on weekdays, $35 on weekend/holiday mornings and $30 on weekend/holiday afternoons. The unique benefit of the new program is that golfers can opt in and out as they please, making the program very flexible.
“With most memberships, golf or otherwise, the consumer is locked in, often paying for their membership whether they use it or not,” said Meadowcreek Golf Course General Manger Chandler Marshall. “With our new Cavalier Pass, if a passholder realizes he or she is not utilizing the program, they can take a break and stop paying the monthly membership fee. When their schedule frees up, they can opt back into the program.
Cavalier Pass program members will typically find savings after playing only two or three rounds. There is no long-term commitment – if a golfer chooses to opt out of the program, they can simply email the club and pay the next month’s fee, while continuing to enjoy golf at Meadowcreek through the end of that next month. If a monthly transaction charge fails, then Cavalier Pass benefits will be suspended immediately.
Nestled in the heart of Charlottesville, where the majestic Southwest Mountains cast their shadows, Meadowcreek Golf Course is recognized as one of Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play.” The 6,200-yard, par-71 features stunning panoramic views, complemented by the grandeur of oak trees and the beauty of Dogwood and cherry trees throughout the course.
