Lotte Golf Club

Lotte Golf Club, one of Korea’s premier golf organisations, has made history by recruiting amateur player Sung Hae-in, a current national team member, for the 2025 season.

On March 14th, Lotte Golf Club announced, “Sung Hae-in will represent Lotte wearing our hat. We will provide comprehensive support to help her become a world-class player beyond just Korea.”

Born in 2009, Sung began her golf journey at age 11. She established herself as a rising talent last year by winning three tournaments, including the Chairman’s Cup of the Korea Middle and High School Golf Association (KJGA). Consistently ranking at the top of amateur competitions and earning a spot on the national team roster, Sung is now working toward becoming a full national team member this year.

With an impressive driving distance averaging 250-260 yards, Sung is considered an exceptional prospect due to her refined iron play and approach skills. After competing on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) tour, she plans to challenge the U.S. LPGA Tour. Upon joining Lotte, Sung expressed her enthusiasm: “I’ve dreamed of wearing a Lotte hat since deciding to pursue professional golf. I’m thrilled to join Lotte Golf Club, home to professional seniors competing on both the LPGA and KLPGA Tours.”

This signing follows the 2022 decision by the United States Golf Association (USGA) and R&A, global golf’s governing bodies, to permit amateur players to enter sponsorship agreements. Several major companies including KB Financial Group, Woori Financial Group, CJ, Shinhan Financial Group, and Daebo Construction have already secured sponsorship contracts with promising amateur talents.
